Connect NovaVerto to your AI assistant
The one thing to copy
The server address
Every assistant asks for it, under a name like “MCP server URL” or “server address”.

Chat apps: sign in, no key
For Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Works on any NovaVerto plan, the free one included: the assistant uses the credits your account has.
1. Add the connector
Claude
- 1In the sidebar open Customize, then the Connectors tab.
- 2Press Add custom connector.
- 3Name it NovaVerto, paste the server address into MCP server URL and press Continue.
- 4Claude opens NovaVerto's sign-in. If it does not, press Connect on the new NovaVerto row.
Works on claude.ai, in the desktop app and on mobile once it is added. Older versions keep Connectors under Settings.
ChatGPT
- 1Open Settings, then Plugins, and turn on Developer mode. ChatGPT marks it Elevated risk: it is the switch that lets you add a connector that is not in its own directory.
- 2Add a new connector, paste the server address and choose OAuth as the sign-in method.
- 3Confirm that you trust the connector and connect it.
In the ChatGPT desktop app the approval page says “an app running on this device”. That is expected: the desktop app signs in through your own computer.
Gemini
- 1On gemini.google.com add a custom app by its address and paste the server address.
- 2Follow the sign-in it opens.
Google currently offers custom apps to personal accounts in the United States only.
2. Sign in and press Allow
- 1The app opens a NovaVerto page. Sign in — or create a free account — with the code we email you, or with Google, Apple or Microsoft.
- 2Read the approval page: which app is asking, where its access goes, and what it may do.
- 3Press Allow. You are sent back to the chat, connected. Cancel connects nothing.
A connected app can see your plan, credits, projects and designs, and start renders, product searches and videos. It cannot see your payment details, change your plan or sign in as you.
What the approval page tells you
- Verified: access goes to claude.ai — The sign-in returns to the chat app's own address (claude.ai, chatgpt.com, Google). This is what you see when you connect from the web.
- An app running on this device — The sign-in returns to a program on your computer — a desktop app or a coding tool. Expected when you started the connection there.
- An amber warning with a web address — The sign-in returns to a site we do not know. A name costs nothing to type, so we show where access really goes. Continue only if you started this yourself and trust that site.
3. Send your photo
Attach the room photo to your message. Some assistants cannot pass an attachment on to a connector; when that happens the assistant gives you a link and a QR code instead.
- 1Open the link, or scan the QR code with your phone if the photo is there. No sign-in is needed.
- 2Tap Choose photo and pick the room.
- 3When the page says Photo sent, tell the assistant it is done.
A link takes one photo, into the account that asked for it, and stops working after 30 minutes. Treat it like the upload button in the app, and do not pass it on.
Path B
Coding assistants: an API key
For Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex and Claude Desktop.
1. Create a key
- 1Open your account page and find API keys.
- 2Create a test key to try things out: free on any plan, returns sample results. Or a live key: Standard, Pro and Enterprise plans, spends your credits.
- 3Copy it now — it is shown once.
2. Add the server
Claude Code, one command:
claude mcp add --transport http novaverto https://api.novaverto.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer nv_…"Cursor, in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"novaverto": {
"url": "https://api.novaverto.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer nv_…" }
}
}
}VS Code and Claude Desktop are in the developer docs.
3. Work with files in your folder
Ask for what you want and name the file: “Render kitchen.jpg as modern Scandinavian and save the result here.” The assistant asks NovaVerto for an upload address, sends the file there itself, waits for the render and downloads it. The picture never passes through the conversation, so large photos are fine.
Using it
Things to say
Plain words are enough. The assistant picks the tool.
“Redesign this living room in Japandi style.”
Attach your photo. You get the render, in the chat, in about a minute.
“Make the sofa dark green and swap the rug for a jute one.”
A new version in the same project, like refining in the app.
“Find this furniture in stores, under $800 for the sofa.”
Real products with store, price and link for each piece.
“Stage this empty room for a listing.”
The one-click tools work too: staging, declutter, wall paint, floors, kitchens, gardens.
“Make a short walkthrough video of it.”
A camera-move clip of a finished design.
“How many credits do I have left?”
Free, like everything that only looks things up.
Credits
What it costs, and how to stop it
The same credits as the app
A quick render costs 65 credits and a walkthrough video starts at 1,000. Other image models list their own prices in list_design_options.image_models, and create_design's model picks one, which fixes the mode plus the sizes and prices listed for it. Looking things up is free and a failed render is refunded. Connecting an assistant adds no credits and costs none. A good assistant tells you before it spends on several renders or a video; you can also ask it to.
Disconnecting
On your account page, Connected apps lists every assistant you allowed, with a Disconnect button; API keys has Revoke. Either stops access at once. Your projects and designs stay, and everything the assistant made is in your account, where you can open it in the app. An assistant nobody has used for 90 days is disconnected on its own, for the same reason: access you are not using should not sit open. Connecting it again is the same few clicks.

Troubleshooting
| You see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “Out of credits” | The render needs more credits than the account has. Connecting an assistant adds none. | Buy a pack or a plan on the pricing page, then ask again. |
| “This request has expired” on the approval page | The page waits ten minutes, and each one can be answered once. | Go back to the app and press Connect again. |
| “This link has expired” on the photo page | A photo link works for 30 minutes, for one photo — or the app was disconnected. | Ask the assistant for a new link. |
| The assistant says it is not authenticated | The connection was disconnected, went unused for 90 days, or the API key was revoked. | Reconnect in the app's connector settings, or create a new key. |
| The photo “did not go through” | The upload was interrupted, or the file is not a JPEG, PNG or WebP under 10 MB. | Choose the photo again on the same page; the link still works. |
