MeltFlex and NovaVerto overlap on much of the feature list. My reason for choosing NovaVerto is more practical: I could turn its room design into retailer suggestions and a saved furniture list, then continue refining the same project.
I’m a co-founder of NovaVerto. This comparison explains why I prefer its workflow, using the original September browser trial and the product review on 3 October.
Where NovaVerto makes the difference against MeltFlex
I’ve chosen these comparison points specifically for MeltFlex. The final column explains why each matters to my preference for NovaVerto; it does not treat an untested competitor feature as absent.
| What matters in this comparison | NovaVerto | MeltFlex | Why it matters to my choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Get a shopping step from the finished room | Yes — Retailer matches and saved list; current Pieces/List UI inspected. | Tested — Tested render’s Summary said “No furniture in scene.” Catalogue cards and a Google Lens demo link were separate observations. | I followed NovaVerto’s retailer matches into a saved item. My MeltFlex Quick result was furnished, but its Summary found no furniture. That is a concrete difference in the paths I tested. |
| Keep offers and a shortlist beside the design | Yes — Offers per piece, prices, list total and area re-selection. | Tested — No item shortlist came from that tested Quick summary. Current marketing advertises price comparison; it was not exercised. | NovaVerto’s Pieces and List panels let me inspect offers, save choices and see a total. MeltFlex now advertises shopping too; my preference rests on the workflow I actually completed. |
| Give the design a structured brief | Yes — Room, 23 styles, palette and budget; custom descriptions. | Tested — Photo and written prompt, with model, quality and image-count controls; public demo also has a budget slider. | Room, style, palette and budget are direct choices in NovaVerto’s design flow. MeltFlex also offers prompts and a budget demo; I prefer making these choices beside my project. |
| Explore models without losing the room | Yes — 11 model families, search, filters and visible credit costs. | Tested — Model choice was exposed in the September editor; exact current model menu was not revisited. | Both products expose model choice. NovaVerto’s inspected search, filters and visible family-level costs make the next experiment easier for me to navigate. |
| Connect the estimate to the exact settings | Yes — Live credit estimate beside model, speed, size and variants. | Tested — Single-image Quick / 1K setup displayed 10 credits; initial balance was not captured to verify the deduction. | NovaVerto groups model, speed, size and variants with the current cost. MeltFlex also showed a cost; I do not treat transparent estimates as exclusive to NovaVerto. |
| Reach the room detail I want to change | Yes — Walls, floor, lighting, windows and doors in the inspector. | Advertised — Wall, floor, furniture, door and window tools advertised; these focused outputs were not tested. | MeltFlex lists similar surface tools. I prefer NovaVerto’s wall, floor, lighting, window and door controls in the current room’s inspector. |
| Start from the furniture I have in mind | Yes — Reference images; up to four furniture pictures/catalogue pieces. | Advertised — Style-reference tools and catalogue furniture advertised; selected-product placement was not tested. | NovaVerto’s dedicated placement flow accepts up to four furniture pictures or catalogue pieces. MeltFlex’s broader catalogue claims were not a completed selected-piece test. |
| Follow the original and the revisions | Yes — Original plus version history, Hold for before and Compare. | Advertised — Paid plans list saved projects; equivalent numbered history and comparison controls were not exercised. | I could inspect NovaVerto’s original and numbered versions with comparison controls. MeltFlex lists saved projects; equivalent version behavior was not part of my completed test. |
| Open the next task from the room | Yes — Touches → More tools: 28 tools within the project. | Advertised — Broad suite covering rooms, surfaces, layouts, floor plans, outdoors and presentation. | Both products have broad toolkits. NovaVerto’s More tools picker keeps the next task and its settings close to the room I am already working on. |
| Choose staging or clearing deliberately | Yes — Virtual Staging and Declutter & Repair in the tool picker. | Tested — Furnished the empty test room. Separate staging and furniture-removal capabilities are documented. | Both can furnish a room. I like NovaVerto’s explicit staging and decluttering entries when I need to change what the next run is meant to do. |
| Continue to a balcony or garden | Yes — Exterior, garden, outdoor planner, balcony and front door. | Advertised — Exterior and garden tools; no outdoor render tested. | Outdoor design overlaps. NovaVerto’s named balcony, garden, exterior and planning entries fit how I move through a home project. |
| Keep assistant access connected to the project | Yes — Standard API; MCP; Enterprise pooled credits and roles. | Advertised — Enterprise API and team sharing listed; API, CLI and MCP links were recorded in September but not exercised. | NovaVerto documents API and MCP routes. MeltFlex also has integration offerings; I would choose based on the underlying room and shopping workflow, not a claim of exclusive automation. |
Tested = I ran it, in the September trial or the 3 October revisit. Seen / Not found (free plan) = what the free account showed on 3 October; not found there does not mean the paid product lacks it. Advertised = documented by the vendor, often on higher plans. Paywalled = my trial stopped at a subscription screen. Unconfirmed = I could not establish it either way. Edge = a specialist case where I would pick the competitor. NovaVerto’s column was checked in the logged-in app on 3 October. This is a workflow comparison, not a controlled image-quality score. NovaVerto in short
We built NovaVerto around the steps that come after “that room looks nice.” A new design starts with one of three routes, Redesign, Place furniture or Run a tool, and every run stays in the same project: the original photo, numbered versions, Hold for before and Compare.
More tools opens 28 focused tools from the room itself, from walls, floors, lighting, windows and doors to staging, decluttering, exterior, garden and balcony design. The model picker covers 11 model families with search, filters and the credit cost shown before I run: 65 credits for NovaVerto AI, 126 to 176 for the Gemini options at 1K.
After the render, Catalogue, Pieces and List turn the room into retailer offers with prices, a saved shortlist and its total. Placing furniture accepts up to four catalogue pieces or furniture pictures.

MeltFlex: the furnished image was convincing; the shopping step mattered more to me
Website: MeltFlex

MeltFlex is one of the closer comparisons here. In September, its free-start route accepted the same empty-room photo used in the earlier NovaVerto test. I entered a furnishing request and inspected the model, quality and image-count controls. Submitting led to sign-in, and the photo and prompt survived that step.
The completed Quick / 1K image looked useful: a sofa, coffee table, rug, artwork, curtains and warmer lighting. The window, radiator, right-hand door and wood floor stayed recognizable in the result I inspected. It was watermarked, and five credits remained afterward. I had recorded a displayed setup cost of ten credits, but not the starting balance, so I cannot independently confirm the deduction.
Then I opened Summary. Beside the furnished room, it said “No furniture in scene.” That is the part that matters most to this comparison. I had a design image, but that particular path had not given me a product list I could use. Catalogue cards were visible elsewhere, and a public demo link led to Google Lens. Those observations do not establish that every MeltFlex shopping route behaves the same way.
With NovaVerto, I had already followed product suggestions and saved a sofa to a list. The current workspace makes that next step more explicit through Catalogue, Pieces and List, including offers, prices, a total and area re-selection. Some suggestions in the original test were wrong, so I still check the product carefully. I prefer having an inspectable way to work through those choices around the room.
MeltFlex’s current official pages describe a broad set of room and surface tools, outdoor design, references, video and furniture shopping. Model selection and shopping are therefore overlaps, not features I can fairly call exclusive to NovaVerto. My preference is the combination of the structured brief, task controls and shopping path I could follow through. MeltFlex’s current product scope
Its credit allowances have changed since the original review. The current pricing page lists 490 monthly credits for Standard and 2,250 for Pro. The localized price amount was not exposed in the retrieved page, so I am keeping the old CHF24 / 650-credit calculation explicitly historical. I would not apply that old allowance to a current subscription or compare CHF and USD figures as though they were the same currency. MeltFlex’s current plans
Why I prefer NovaVerto: I’d choose NovaVerto when the aim is to make decisions about my own home, including what to buy. MeltFlex produced a useful room image, but NovaVerto’s tested shopping list and current Pieces, List and editing controls gave me a clearer next step.
What a NovaVerto render actually costs
The cheapest current NovaVerto render is 65 credits. The current Standard offer is $17.99 for the first month, then $24.99 per month, with 7,000 credits per month. I’m showing both rates so the introductory saving and the ongoing cost are clear. Annual discounts are not used in these calculations. NovaVerto pricing
| Observed setup | Credits | $17.99 first month | $24.99 regular month |
|---|---|---|---|
| NovaVerto AI · cheapest render | 65 | $0.17 | $0.23 |
| Gemini · Fast · 1K | 126 | $0.32 | $0.45 |
| Gemini · Balanced · 1K | 149 | $0.38 | $0.53 |
| Gemini · Best · 1K | 176 | $0.45 | $0.63 |
Calculation: the monthly price ($17.99 introductory or $24.99 regular) ÷ 7,000 × the displayed credit cost. These are allocation estimates, not separate pay-per-image prices. They assume the allowance is fully used and exclude credits spent on other actions. At 65 credits, 7,000 credits cover 107 complete renders with 45 credits left; dividing the full month’s charge across those 107 renders rounds to $0.17 with the introductory offer or $0.23 at the regular price. The introductory rate applies to the first month, not every renewal. Other models, sizes and variant counts change the cost.
The current plan cards list watermark-free renders and API access on Standard. Pro is $49.99 monthly for 13,000 credits and includes 2K/4K output; those resolutions were disabled with a Pro requirement in the free account I inspected. One-off credit packs are also available, with a 30-day validity period. Plans and credit packs
MeltFlex price context
The CHF24 / 650-credit entry below is a September reference, not the current plan. The October page lists 490 Standard credits; a current localized price was not established. The CHF historical amount is not directly comparable to NovaVerto’s USD amount. NovaVerto’s separate table retains the $17.99 first-month offer and $24.99 regular monthly price.
| Tool | Reference paid entry | Approximate unit cost on that basis |
|---|---|---|
| MeltFlex | September: regular CHF24/month / 650 credits; Quick / 1K displayed 10 credits | Historical ≈CHF0.37 per ten-credit run. Current Standard lists 490 credits; current localized price not established. |
Credits, source photos and unlimited plans represent different units. Unit-cost estimates assume full use of the relevant allowance; they do not measure rendering quality.
Why I’d choose NovaVerto
I’d choose NovaVerto when the aim is to make decisions about my own home, including what to buy. MeltFlex produced a useful room image, but NovaVerto’s tested shopping list and current Pieces, List and editing controls gave me a clearer next step.
My starting point: use the 65-credit NovaVerto AI option for an initial direction, then explore the focused tools and furniture options around that result. At full allowance use, that is about $0.17 per render with the $17.99 first-month offer, or $0.23 at the regular $24.99 monthly price. Explore NovaVerto
Sources and what I actually checked
The original browser trials took place in September 2026. The September trial includes a completed MeltFlex generation, described above. NovaVerto also had a completed redesign and a saved shopping-list item. Photos, modes and prompts differed, so these observations are not a controlled image-quality benchmark.
On 3 October I inspected NovaVerto’s logged-in project workspace, New project/New run dialogs, Touches and its 28 tools, focused wall settings, model picker, speed and size menus, furniture-placement controls, shopping panels and live pricing. No new render or paid purchase was submitted during that revisit.
Official product and pricing pages were checked again on 3 October. Controls I inspected, completed September actions and vendor-documented features are labelled separately. Older prices stay dated where current amounts were not verified.
September trial and October public-source check: The September production render and furniture Summary are the firsthand evidence. October checks covered public product and pricing pages. No new account render, reference placement, shopping match or integration was executed for this page. The current 490/2,250-credit allowances differ from the old 650/1,250 figures.
- NovaVerto: tool catalogue, pricing, assistant integration, and the logged-in UI inspection described above.
- MeltFlex: current tools and shopping claims, current credits and plan terms; September completed Quick / 1K render, displayed ten-credit setup, catalogue cards and empty furniture Summary recorded in the September trial. October public pages rechecked; private account not revisited.
Disclosure: I’m a co-founder of NovaVerto. The recommendation reflects my preferences and the workflow we’re building. Observed controls, earlier completed tests and vendor claims are distinguished throughout; access to a tool does not guarantee identical results across photos or models.
