Completed renders of the same empty living room in NovaVerto, Collov AI and Virtual Staging AI, and a Spacely AI bedroom

Virtual Staging AI gave me useful furnished property photos. NovaVerto is my choice for a wider home project, where staging is one step alongside surface changes, model choices, references and products I might actually buy.

I’m a co-founder of NovaVerto. This comparison explains why I prefer its workflow, using the original September browser trial and the product review on 3 October.

Where NovaVerto makes the difference against Virtual Staging AI

I’ve chosen these comparison points specifically for Virtual Staging AI. The final column explains why each matters to my preference for NovaVerto; it does not treat an untested competitor feature as absent.

What matters in this comparisonNovaVertoVirtual Staging AIWhy it matters to my choice
Find pieces for the room I will actually useYes — Retailer matches and saved list; current Pieces/List UI inspected.Unconfirmed — Retailer-product matching was not established in the tested staging-result workflow.NovaVerto’s tested retailer matches and saved item connect the image to buying decisions. My Virtual Staging AI test covered staging images and a download, without establishing a shopping path.
Turn the look into a priced shortlistYes — Offers per piece, prices, list total and area re-selection.Unconfirmed — Product offers, a saved shopping list and an item total were not established.NovaVerto’s offers, item prices and saved-list total are directly relevant to furnishing my home. Equivalent product-list controls were not established in the staging trial.
Keep going after the staged photoYes — Touches → More tools: 28 tools within the project.Tested — Photo staging was the completed job; the private dashboard and free-upload route were separate entry points.Virtual Staging AI completed the property-image job. NovaVerto’s in-project tools let me continue into layout, finishes and other home-design decisions.
Work on surfaces and room detailsYes — Walls, floor, lighting, windows and doors in the inspector.Advertised — Paid plans include an image-editing trial; equivalent surface controls were not exercised.NovaVerto’s inspector exposes walls, floor, lighting, windows and doors. A listed editing trial in Virtual Staging AI is not evidence that I exercised the same controls there.
Explore a fuller room briefYes — Room, 23 styles, palette and budget; custom descriptions.Tested — Free trial enabled Living room and Bedroom with eight styles; several additional room types were upgrade-locked.NovaVerto combines room, style, palette and budget. Virtual Staging AI’s free test enabled two room types and eight styles; its paid coverage is broader than that trial.
Choose another model for a different attemptYes — 11 model families, search, filters and visible credit costs.Unconfirmed — Trial exposed room and style choices; a named-model/provider picker was not established.NovaVerto exposes named model families and their costs. My staging test did not establish a comparable provider/model picker in Virtual Staging AI.
Start with particular furniture piecesYes — Reference images; up to four furniture pictures/catalogue pieces.Unconfirmed — Trial staging used room/style choices; placement of chosen product photos was not established. The inspected NovaVerto route accepts catalogue pieces or furniture pictures. The Virtual Staging AI trial supplied staged arrangements rather than testing placement of a chosen product.
Track a home-design sequenceYes — Original plus version history, Hold for before and Compare.Tested — Dashboard folders, three result variations, switching between results and downloading were inspected. Both let me examine more than one result. I prefer NovaVerto’s original and numbered version sequence for a project involving several kinds of design change.
Use staging as one tool in the projectYes — Virtual Staging and Declutter & Repair in the tool picker.Tested — Empty-room staging completed; paid plans list furniture removal.Virtual Staging AI successfully staged the room. NovaVerto combines staging and clearing with the surrounding room tools and shopping panels I want next.
Continue outside the listing roomYes — Exterior, garden, outdoor planner, balcony and front door.Unconfirmed — A garden, balcony or exterior-design workflow was not established in the staging trial.NovaVerto’s dedicated garden, balcony, exterior and outdoor-planning entries let me extend the same design process. That broader outdoor workflow was not established in my staging trial.
Budget by the next design operationYes — Live credit estimate beside model, speed, size and variants.Advertised — Plans charge for new source photos and include repeat staging renders; not a per-output credit unit.NovaVerto prices the selected run in credits. Virtual Staging AI counts source photos with repeat renders included, so I compare the intended work rather than treating those units as identical.
Continue through an AI assistant when usefulYes — Standard API; MCP; Enterprise pooled credits and roles.Advertised — API and whitelabel offers documented; Enterprise lists API access. Integration not tested.NovaVerto documents MCP alongside its API. Virtual Staging AI also has API and whitelabel offers; my preference remains the home-design and shopping workflow those integrations would support.

Tested = I ran it, in the September trial or the 3 October revisit. Seen / Not found (free plan) = what the free account showed on 3 October; not found there does not mean the paid product lacks it. Advertised = documented by the vendor, often on higher plans. Paywalled = my trial stopped at a subscription screen. Unconfirmed = I could not establish it either way. Edge = a specialist case where I would pick the competitor. NovaVerto’s column was checked in the logged-in app on 3 October. This is a workflow comparison, not a controlled image-quality score. NovaVerto in short

We built NovaVerto around the steps that come after “that room looks nice.” A new design starts with one of three routes, Redesign, Place furniture or Run a tool, and every run stays in the same project: the original photo, numbered versions, Hold for before and Compare.

More tools opens 28 focused tools from the room itself, from walls, floors, lighting, windows and doors to staging, decluttering, exterior, garden and balcony design. The model picker covers 11 model families with search, filters and the credit cost shown before I run: 65 credits for NovaVerto AI, 126 to 176 for the Gemini options at 1K.

After the render, Catalogue, Pieces and List turn the room into retailer offers with prices, a saved shortlist and its total. Placing furniture accepts up to four catalogue pieces or furniture pictures.

Virtual Staging AI: useful listing photos, while my home project needs a longer next step

Virtual Staging AI completed its central job in the original trial. I uploaded the shared empty-room photo, chose Living room and Modern, and received three staged variations. The two I inspected kept the main window, right-hand door and floor recognizable while changing the furniture. Switching variations and downloading a result worked.

The free results had a large central watermark. The controls also drew a clear trial boundary: Bedroom and Living room were enabled, with eight styles. Several other room types were upgrade-locked. I would not confuse those free limits with the full paid offering.

I reached a dashboard with folders and an empty photo library after signing in. To start the working trial, I returned to the homepage’s free-upload entry. Once there, the staging flow was straightforward. For NovaVerto, I prefer having New design and the next focused task close to the room I am already developing.

The bigger difference is what I want from the result. For a home I am furnishing, I want to try a specific sofa, adjust the floor, choose another model and keep a product shortlist. NovaVerto puts those decisions around the project. The Virtual Staging AI test established staged images, variation selection and a download; it did not establish an equivalent retailer-shopping or broader renovation workflow.

Virtual Staging AI’s paid plans count new source photos and include repeat renders and downloads. Furniture removal and an image-editing trial are also listed. That is a source-photo allowance, so dividing its monthly fee by photo count does not give a comparable price for one NovaVerto render. Virtual Staging AI’s current plan structure

The retrieved October pricing page showed Basic at $16 per month with annual billing, billed as $192 yearly, for six photos per month. The September monthly offer was $25 for six photos. I am dating those separately: an annual monthly equivalent is not the same purchase as a monthly subscription. I did not revisit checkout.

The September site also displayed an EU/EEA/UK subscription restriction. That message was not present in the October public-page text I retrieved, so I cannot confirm whether the restriction still applies. It is a historical access observation, not a current claim that subscribers in those regions are blocked. Virtual Staging AI website

Why I prefer NovaVerto: I’d choose NovaVerto when I want to keep developing the home after the staged image. Its room tools, model controls, version sequence and shopping panels fit that longer process; Virtual Staging AI’s trial answered the narrower question of how an empty listing might look furnished.

What a NovaVerto render actually costs

The cheapest current NovaVerto render is 65 credits. The current Standard offer is $17.99 for the first month, then $24.99 per month, with 7,000 credits per month. I’m showing both rates so the introductory saving and the ongoing cost are clear. Annual discounts are not used in these calculations. NovaVerto pricing

Observed setupCredits$17.99 first month$24.99 regular month
NovaVerto AI · cheapest render65$0.17$0.23
Gemini · Fast · 1K126$0.32$0.45
Gemini · Balanced · 1K149$0.38$0.53
Gemini · Best · 1K176$0.45$0.63

Calculation: the monthly price ($17.99 introductory or $24.99 regular) ÷ 7,000 × the displayed credit cost. These are allocation estimates, not separate pay-per-image prices. They assume the allowance is fully used and exclude credits spent on other actions. At 65 credits, 7,000 credits cover 107 complete renders with 45 credits left; dividing the full month’s charge across those 107 renders rounds to $0.17 with the introductory offer or $0.23 at the regular price. The introductory rate applies to the first month, not every renewal. Other models, sizes and variant counts change the cost.

The current plan cards list watermark-free renders and API access on Standard. Pro is $49.99 monthly for 13,000 credits and includes 2K/4K output; those resolutions were disabled with a Pro requirement in the free account I inspected. One-off credit packs are also available, with a 30-day validity period. Plans and credit packs

Virtual Staging AI price context

The $25 monthly entry comes from September. The October public page exposed $192/year for six photos per month, equivalent to $16/month. Repeat renders are included per source photo; annual billing requires an annual payment. NovaVerto’s separate table retains the $17.99 first-month offer and $24.99 regular monthly price.

ToolReference paid entryApproximate unit cost on that basis
Virtual Staging AISeptember monthly: $25 / 6 source photos. October page: $192/year, equivalent to $16/month, for 6 photos/month.September monthly basis ≈$4.17 per source photo, including repeat renders. Not a per-output rendering price.

Credits, source photos and unlimited plans represent different units. Unit-cost estimates assume full use of the relevant allowance; they do not measure rendering quality.

Why I’d choose NovaVerto

I’d choose NovaVerto when I want to keep developing the home after the staged image. Its room tools, model controls, version sequence and shopping panels fit that longer process; Virtual Staging AI’s trial answered the narrower question of how an empty listing might look furnished.

My starting point: use the 65-credit NovaVerto AI option for an initial direction, then explore the focused tools and furniture options around that result. At full allowance use, that is about $0.17 per render with the $17.99 first-month offer, or $0.23 at the regular $24.99 monthly price. Explore NovaVerto

Sources and what I actually checked

The original browser trials took place in September 2026. The September trial includes a completed Virtual Staging AI generation, described above. NovaVerto also had a completed redesign and a saved shopping-list item. Photos, modes and prompts differed, so these observations are not a controlled image-quality benchmark.

On 3 October I inspected NovaVerto’s logged-in project workspace, New project/New run dialogs, Touches and its 28 tools, focused wall settings, model picker, speed and size menus, furniture-placement controls, shopping panels and live pricing. No new render or paid purchase was submitted during that revisit.

Official product and pricing pages were checked again on 3 October. Controls I inspected, completed September actions and vendor-documented features are labelled separately. Older prices stay dated where current amounts were not verified.

September trial and October public-source check: September evidence includes three trial outputs, variation switching and a download. October checks covered public product and pricing pages. No new private-account render or retailer matching was executed. The old regional subscription warning was not reconfirmed.

Disclosure: I’m a co-founder of NovaVerto. The recommendation reflects my preferences and the workflow we’re building. Observed controls, earlier completed tests and vendor claims are distinguished throughout; access to a tool does not guarantee identical results across photos or models.
